Stuck in a hard place

I have come to a very difficult decision in the business.  I am asking for thoughts, prayers, good mojo, or whatever it is that you believe in.  I do not want to give any details at the moment, but please keep me in your thoughts while I decide which road to take.

Front Page!!

I was super stoked to see that my photos had been published with an article for the newspaper.  It even had a spot on the front page!  Things like this make me proud of what I do.

Love is in the air ~Meet the Wagners~

One of things I love about spring and summer, other than the warmer temps, is the weddings!  I am such a sap.  I had the honor of photographing Shauni and Stoney's wedding yesterday and not only was the weather perfect, but so was everything else. 

 

 

 

The location was La Ferme Rouge in Patton.  It is a lovely little barn style building with impeccable landscaping.  Absolutely perfect for a wedding.  If you know these two at all you would know that they love the outdoors, and pretty much anything country.   Cowboy boots, cowboy hats, lasso, sunflowers, daisies and so much more.  If you would picture a perfect country wedding, then this was it to a T.

 

 

The pastor told the guests how much the groom had been transformed by his future wife.  There was even a little joke about his "hat hair".

 

 

 To see how much the brides father lit up to see his baby girl so incredibly happy could warm anyone's heart.  His smile alone can tell that story

 

 

Oh, and the first kiss was, in word, magical.  He held her so tight and dipped her like any true gentleman would.

 

Not to "tug" at your heart strings, but how amazingly beautiful is this union?!

 

 

 

 

 

I want to wish the newlyweds many years of love and laughter.

Spring is back in Swing!

It has been a few months since my last post.  I had a wonderful winter full of lots of snow photos, but now we are back into Spring and I am getting increasingly busy :)  I have 5 weddings in the book so far this year and a day of outdoor mini sessions coming up.  I plan to run lots of specials and fun events this spring into fall so keep an eye out and get your appointments in quick.  My last offer filled up in less than 8 hours.  YAY!

I have been able to have a 2-3 day turn around time for the past few weeks now and hope that when I get busy it will continue to stay around that time.

I am also in the process of finding a new home to host my high quality images.  Looking into flicker at the moment.

Anyway, just wanted to say hello to all my fans and let you know that the blog posts are coming back in full swing and you will notice some pretty amazing changes this year.

I had a wonderful outdoor session yesterday with the gorgeous Miss Karissa.  This girl knows how to work the camera and is a total blast to work with.  Check back this summer because we have an amazing shoot in the works

Snow much fun

The countdown is on

I have been completely slacking in the blog category lately.  With the holidays and weddings I have been behind the lens quite a bit.  I have been doing a lot to give back lately.  I offered a free session to a family who's son is battling cancer.  I have began to try to gather funds for a family in need this season.  I have really shifted my focus into helping others any way I can. 

I just wanted to apologize for the lack of posts and to give you all a few peeks of what I have been up to.

I have 3 of these beauties on the way for my fall sessions!

One of my favorite things about fall is pumpkins.   My all day every day favorite thing is photography.  I decided to incorporate both of my favorite things this season.

I will be offering 2 - 8x10's and 1 - 11x14 sized pumpkin frames for use in photos.  I also have an 11x14 chalboard insert for them.   I can not wait to put these to use.

Love is in the air!

Fall is by far my favorite season.  The colors, temperatures, pumpkin pie, and football are some of my very favorite things.  

On top of the usual things people love about fall, there is the fact that it is wedding season for me.
I had the pleasure of doing engagement pictures for 2 beautiful couples recently.  I will be photographing one of those couples weddings this October.  I am so excited.  I love capturing those tender moments for them.  It is an honor that they chose me out of the many local options to snap them.

The new school pictures

I had the pleasure of photographing one super cool little man the other day.  They parents opted for a more personal setting for school photos and I think it could not have went any better.  Not only are the photos original, but they are personal because they were at a location that they chose.  When you put a child into a position where they do not feel comfortable you run the risk of those "fake" smiles because you are telling them to do it.  If you give them a bit of freedom you can end up with truely perfect smiles for the subject.

Just a teeny warning.  If you pull a hot rod out during the shoot you will finish with the hot rod!  Once the car was pulled out of the garage I lost him.  lol

  But even though I lost him to the car, he rocked it!  This is my favorite picture from the shoot.  He was in his element here and it shows.

First Birthday Princess

Today I headed outdoors for a gorgeous blue eyed cutie's first birthday photos.  She was such a trooper and absolutely adorable. 

One can never go wrong with anything pink, pearls, lemons, tutus, and bows!  This is every little princesses dream.

I absolutely love my clients and my job. Shoots like these remind me every single day just how lucky I am.  I get to document childrens lives.   I get to watch them grow.  It is such a rewarding feeling.

I love to see the smiles and warmth that follows.  It is far too easy these days to focus on the negatives.  I truly believe that the smiles of children are rays of sunshine.  For those moments the world seems to fade and you are focused on the sweet innocence of a child.

Fall is just around the corner!

It's that time of year again!!

Who doesn't love a mini session in fall. The crisp fresh air, brilliant colors, apples dumplings and pumpkin pies that find their way into your homes and hearts every year. I would like to help you capture those moments at an affordable price. So here is my mini session information for this season.

Big changes

I have been MIA for quite some time.  Lots of babies, birthdays, losses, and new beginnings.  I have the new studio all painted and ready to go.  I can not wait to get it all settled and get back to my normal work schedule.  Once everything is complete, I am hoping to do something fun for my lovely clients who have been such a major support for me in my venture.

A little birdie told me...

Sorry I haven't been updating lately.  I have been very busy with little cuties and sweet new babies.  Easter sessions were wonderful and everyone did a great job including the baby chicks.  Please know that the chicks have settled nicely into their new home on the farm and none were harmed.  The children were all instructed to sanitize their hands after touching them also.

Lovely Ladies

I had a fantastic time with the boudior shoots.  What a wonderful bunch of ladies.  They did a fabulous job and proved that small town girls have definitely got it going on. 

I just want to take a minute to say this

Size does not matter.  Sexy is sexy!

Each and every one of my clients today were gorgeous and their personalities came through in their photos.

This entry was a bit difficult.  I set up the camera and used my remote.  After about 30 snaps I got this one and went with it.  I really wanted to focus on the makeup.  It speaks a lot about my personality.  Bright, bold, artistic!

Boudior anyone?

Gearing up for this weekend's Boudior shoots.

I am so excited to see what these wonderful woman come up with.  I can't wait to get creative and make each session something wonderful.

The joys of childhood

I have been catching up on past sessions and have almost completed them.  I am gearing up for my boudior sessions this weekend, but took the evening off to enjoy and evening at the ice rink with my son.
